So what do we do?
Dome Telecom offers cheap local, national and international calls from both your home phone and your mobile phone as well as from any payphone or hotel phone in the country. We offer a number of cheap solutions including calling cards that you can use from any home phone, mobile phone or payphone. We also offer cheap calls from home phones and mobile phones without buying calling cards.
What are calling cards and how do they work?
When you buy a calling card you are buying an amount of credit (€5, €10 or €20) just like you do when you top up your mobile. This credit can then be used from any phone in the country to make cheap international calls. If you want to buy a calling card just go to your local newsagent and ask for a Global Caller or Century 2000 calling card. All shops supply these either in plastic or as a printed calling card voucher. All you have to do then is dial the freephone number on the calling card or voucher and the system will ask you to enter the pin number printed on the card or voucher. You can then make cheap international calls using the credit on the card you have bought. If you are on the move and want to use your calling card credit from a mobile or payphone or hotel phone you simply do exactly the same thing and you can get cheap calls from anywhere in the country.
If you do not want to buy calling cards and if you’d rather enter directly a phone number but still want to make cheap international calls then we recommend you use our “cheap international call gateway” solution: Century Access. To get cheap international calls without buying cards and entering pin numbers all you have to do is dial another telephone number before your destination number. This way you only pay for that first number you call i.e. the gateway number. Our gateway numbers are usually just charged as national rate calls i.e. 0818 272 272 that’s why you are really making a cheap international call. In other words all you see on your Eircom bill is a call to a national number.

Century Access really is the easiest and most convenient way to make cheap international calls. You don’t have to register and there are no bills except the one you get from Eircom. There are full instructions on the recorded message and the service is explained to you when you call.
Each destination you want to call i.e. UK, US, France, Germany, India, Poland, Australia has a gateway number. Some countries cost more to call so the gateway number is a little more expensive. We have listed all the countries below with the gateway number and the costs per min.

Dome Telecom has a new product called 1Call which allows O2 customers to make the cheapest international calls direct from their mobile phones.
How does 1Call work?
1Call works in exactly the same way as our international gateway service. You simply dial a fixed charge gateway number from your O2 mobile and then make your cheap international call. Where 1Call is different though is that the O2 gateway numbers only charge a fixed fee per call. Once you pay this fee you pay no more to O2 or to Dome Telecom.
Depending upon which fixed charge gateway number you call you will get a maximum number of minutes to the country you wish to call. This number of minutes depends on where you are calling as well.
For example from you O2 phone if you dial 1512 666 999 you will only pay 39c per call. You can then make up to 7 minutes of international calls to France, Germany, Italy, UK, US Australia, New Zealand. If you dial 1513 666 999 you will only pay 80c per call and you will then get 12 minutes to the same destinations.
If you make a call for less than the time allowed all you have to do is dial ## on your phone and when asked dial another phone number to use the rest of your time.
